The Work in Progress area shows the step-by-step progression of my current Pet Portraits.

You will see portraits of all pets but mostly dogs, cats and horses.

Graphite Pet Portraits Work in Progress - Lurcher

Rosie

Pet Portraits Work in Progress showcases the current dog, cat or horse portrait I am working on.

New pictures are added as I finish another section, and a final scan is then added when the Pet Portrait is complete. When the final scan is added the customer can then confirm whether they are happy with their Pet Portrait before it is dispatched.

This current pet portrait is of a Lurcher named Rosie. Rosie's owner Vicky purchased her Pet Portrait from an online auction at www.sighthoundsonline.org.uk to raise money for Greyhound and Lurcher charities. I was supplied with 3 very good photographs to work from, working from one main one.

Rosie is being drawn on 12" x 16" cartridge paper in coloured pencil with a plain coloured background

Watercolour Pencil Pet Portraits Work in Progress - Great Dane

Great Dane

Pet Portraits Work in Progress showcases the current dog, cat or horse portrait I am working on.

New pictures are added as I finish another section, and a final scan is then added when the Pet Portrait is complete. When the final scan is added the customer can then confirm whether they are happy with their Pet Portrait before it is dispatched.

This drawing is of a Great Dane named Strath. I donated a Pet Portrait Gift Voucher in August as the prize for Best in Show at a companion dog show in aid of Fenbank Greyhound Rescue. This beautiful Great Dane was the winner. I have been supplied with several photographs to work from, as I am doing this portrait with a full background. I have the main photograph showing Strath in his garden and several close ups to work from for the details.

Strath's owner Jane upgraded the voucher I supplied to have a 16" x 20" coloured pencil pet portrait with a full background.
