Lauras Pet Portraits Terms & Conditions
Here at Pet Portraits Terms & Conditions is important information about paying, delivery, cancellation, copyright, photographs and the guarantee. Please ensure you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions before ordering your Pet Portrait.
Payment
No Pet Portraits are dispatched until payment has been made in full. Payment is due when you have seen and approved your Pet Portrait online. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required upon ordering your Pet Portrait. Your Pet Portrait will not be started until this deposit has been received.
Delivery and Lead Times
Standard lead times are between 3 - 5 weeks, but can be as long as 2 months at busy periods. When you receive your order confirmation you will be advised if I am able to keep to the delivery date you specified on your online order form. The date you specify on the order form is the latest day you will receive your Pet Portrait.
Pet Portraits are delivered in the UK by Royal Mail Special Delivery. You will be notified on the day your Pet Portrait is dispatched and you will receive your Pet Portrait the next day. You will need to be in to sign for your Pet Portrait. Overseas Pet Portraits are delivered by 'Royal Mail Airsure Signed For'. Royal Mail can track these parcles, and it will need to be signed for on delivery.
Cancellation
If you wish to cancel your Pet Portrait please notify me as soon as possible. Your 25% deposit will not be refunded. Pet Portraits cancelled more than 14 days after your order conformation date incur an additional cancellation charge of £10 plus 4% of the total cost of the Pet Portrait. Pet Portraits can be cancelled by email, post or phone.
Copyright
Pet Portraits are to be purchased for personal use only and not for financial gain. By submitting an order form, either electronically or by post you are agreeing that I retain the full copyright and licenseing rights to the artwork I produce from your photograph(s), thereby allowing me to use the artwork in any way I see fit for an indefinite period of time. This includes displaying the artwork in advertising materials and online. If you are unhappy with your Pet Portrait, then there is no fee and I retain the artwork and copyright and the right to display and/or sell it to a third party, or use the image on items for sale
Photographs
By sending me photograph(s) of your pet you are confirming that you either own the copyright to the photograph(s) or have gained permission and/or a license from the the copyright owner to grant me a license to use the photograph(s) for producing your Pet Portrait from and in advertising material for an indefinite period of time. Further, in sending me the photograph(s), either electronically or by post, you agree to indemnify me against any costs arising from claims made against me by persons claming to own the copyright
Satisfaction Guarantee
I guarantee all my Pet Portraits for workmanship and the likeness to your pet. If you are not 100% satisfied with your Pet Portrait and you return it safely wrapped and undamaged within 7 days you will receive a full refund including your deposit.
Pet Portraits returned damaged and/or after 7 days will not be refunded.
